Stephanie Coady Counselling – June Update

Posted on in Mindset by Stephanie Coady

I heard a quote the other week that stuck with me and I wanted to share it with you. It’s about when we receive compliments, or someone tells us that they see the hard work that we are doing, we are so quick to brush it off, not fully accept it, or we can be so focused on the next thing. The quote was,

“I gave you the flowers, you can take them, leave them, or water them.”

WOW! This really resonated with me. It is okay to acknowledge growth and change – no matter what it is and it is okay to soak that in. I hope this quote resonates with you too and gives you permission to see your growth – no matter how big or small! 🙂

Summer months are generally when people pick up hobbies again and brush off the dust on their friendships and social connections. Meeting up for a walk, coffee date, or doggy date at Picaroons, or the new Heaven Inn Devon Cafe can be so good for both the mind, body, and spirit. I know the sunshine helps with having even the energy to make these sorts of connections again!

Exciting things ahead for this month:

  • I am a featured “Happy Hour Fredericton (HHC)” Face for their event on June 21st at 4:00 – 6:00pm at the Delta. Looking forward to networking with other women!
  • I am doing a few presentations in workplaces and other local organizations/non-profits about mental wellness/burnout/perinatal mental health.

Stay well and see you in the sunshine,
