Self Compassion – Stephanie Coady Counselling Therapy

Posted on in Mindset by Stephanie Coady

This time of year we could be tending to a lot of things – people, our garden, work, weekend events with families, but how are we tending to ourselves and treating ourselves with kindness in the same way? This is where we can bring in a level of Self-Compassion to help us tend to us!

Self-Compassion is something I speak to a lot of folks about because of its importance in our daily lives and the language we tell ourselves. Self-Compassion at its core is treating ourselves like we would a friend.

It’s being mindful of what we tell ourselves, as well as bringing in a sense of humanity that we aren’t the only ones that may feel this way. What would we say to someone else that is struggling?

Take a look at the video below of the impact of Self-Compassion, as well as the picture of how using Self-Compassion shapes our brain:

The language we tell ourselves is so powerful. How do you think you can bring more Self-Compassion into your daily life?

Stay well & see you in the sunshine,
