I’m Stephanie Coady (she/her/hers), a Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT) with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick (CCTNB) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I’m a lifelong Frederictonian; completing my Bachelor of Arts at the University of New Brunswick and my Masters of Education at the University of New Brunswick in Counselling Psychology.
During our time together, I consider the wholeness of you – mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually and how you show up in all areas of your life.
My counselling style is influenced by a variety of person-centred/humanistic approaches in order to best help my clients deal with their life experiences and emotions. I have training in Emotion Focused Therapy, Process Experiential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-based (Somatic Therapy) practices. I have specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health (including the transition to parenthood for both mothers and fathers).
The quote “kindness begets kindness” has always resonated with me, and I hope to help you carry the same kindness and compassion for yourself as you do so often for others in your life.
When I’m not in the office, you can find me with my two young children, enjoying all things Fredericton, walking our dog, finding ways to express my creativity, or curling up with a book and coffee. In the summer, you can find me on the water!
